What would do?
Sundays are great day to get ready to have a successful week. After church I went home for lunch, got ready for the gym and decided to go to the grocery store to let my food digest before going to the gym. My gym was right across the street and leaving my food in the car was no issue because It was Thanksgiving time and cold outside.
After I was done at the grocery store I went over to the gym. The gym had started new closing hours and when I arrived there was only 20 minutes left till closing. Decided oh well I will just do a crazy circuit and after the gym closed I would finish up my shopping at Costco.
When I went into the gym and scanned in and I told the lady do not worry I know the gym closes in 20 minutes I am just going to come in and hammer out a 15 minute workout. She said, “Good because I was going to let you know the gym closes in 20 minutes.” Here is what I did in the 20 minutes I had before the gym closed:
5 minute warm up on the elliptical. I like the elliptical because I have a treadmill at home and I wanted to get my arms and legs both moving to get warmed up.
Went into one of the aerobic rooms and did the following workout:
- 10 burpees 5 narrow leg 5 wide leg
- 10 tricep pushups
- 30 crunches of any kind
- 10 jump squats
- 10 sec rest —– repeat for 8 minutes as fast as you can.
I was huffing and puffing it felt great — 8 minutes 30 minutes who cares I was out of breathe sweating and I felt great!
What would you have down if you only had 15 to 19 minutes would you have stayed? Would you have just left? For me I truly believe it best to stay on schedule even if you only have 20 minutes. I believe 20 minutes a day keeps so much away.
